Why not join our group of dedicated volunteers? As well as helping those who need it, you will make new friends and learn new skills. None of our work would be possible without our incredible team of volunteers.
There are no paid staff at FEAST. We currently have around 130 fully active volunteers, and we estimate that between them they have given just under 9,000 hours to FEAST across the year.
Why volunteer?
Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and in addition to wanting to make a difference in our community, they have many reasons for wanting to volunteer with us. Here are just a few:
- To give back to the community
- To make new friends and work as part of a team
- To gain new experiences and learn new skills
- To increase confidence
What our volunteers do
Our volunteers get involved in a range of activities, bringing their skills, experience, and natural empathy to help our FEAST guests. Here are just some of the tasks and roles undertaken:

- Answer calls and emails
- Keep our accounts
- Run the website and social media
- Recruit and look after volunteers
- Manage guest membership and welfare

It’s not difficult to appreciate that any one of us could be in the same position as any one of our FEAST guests…we all need to help each other.
